This Asian Slaw is a really good alternative to regular coleslaw and comes together so fast and easy using the coleslaw mix from your produce section. You also use Ramen noodles in this which give it a nice crunch and flavor. It's really good with pork or chicken dishes. Here is what you will need:
1 pkg. coleslaw mix
1/2 cup sliced green onions, including some of the green blades
1 cup sunflower seeds
2 pkgs. Ramen chicken flavored noodles (use the seasoning packets for the dressing)
1 cup oil
2 tsp. soy sauce
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Place the slaw mix in a large bowl. Add the sliced green onion, and sunflower seeds. Remove the Ramen noodles from the bag, crush them up and add. Set the seasoning packets aside.
I know someone is going to ask what Ramen Noodles are, so here they are. They can be found on the soup aisle of your grocery.
Crunchy Asian Slaw!
